Let me tell you a story. I was coaching my basketball team last year and at the second practice I sat the girls down. I told them how talented they all were, some had strengths where others didn't, and those had strengths where others didn't. But together they were very talented. Not just in the sense that they could score points, or make a steal. They were talented all the way around. I looked each of them in the eye and told them, we will be in the Championship game at the end of the season, and we will win that game! I believe it! Now I need each of you to believe it. Not just hope for it, not just think maybe, not just think that would be cool. I need you ALL to believe it! The process will be hard, and we will practice like no other, but we will have fun while we do it.

I'm not sure if they thought I was crazy, or weird or just plain stupid speaking to them. Or maybe they read into it, and truly believed. My little team lost 1 game all season, we made it to the Championship game, and WE WON! It was hard work, commitment, doing our jobs, but I feel mostly it was BELIEVING. Believing in themselves, in the process, in the coaches, in the game, in the power of good. I love those girls so much, they will have a special place in my heart forever.

I tell you that story, because I feel I am at the same place. Not coaching a girls basketball team this time, but fighting for my husband. See I believe, I believe he will be healed, I believe in the power of prayer, I believe in the doctors, I believe in Christ. I believe in something greater than I can even imagine. I believe we will have a testimony like no other, I believe we will rejoice in the joy of victory! I BELIEVE WE WILL WIN!

So now I am asking for everyone to believe with me. Believe in the process we will be facing, believe in the doctors, believe in the Lord to answer prayers, believe in it all! Believe in the healing power of the Lord.

Please don't question anything, just keep believing. I am prepared there will be trials along the way, but I know when I get knocked down, I will stand back up a little bit taller. Through all the trials we will go through we will become better people, better teachers for what is next. Just keep believing!

It is really crazy how in a blink of an eye your life is flipped upside down. I could sit here and question why we are on this journey, and don't get me wrong it has crossed my mind. But I am realizing, this journey is teaching us all something. Each person reading this is learning something, something so powerful to each of you. Don't get in a hurry and not take note of the lessons you might be handed. I was speaking with my girls and was telling them, there are lots of lessons to be learned through this process, and through this a lot of people are being reached. I said maybe one person will look at life a bit different. Z looks up at me and says mom I prayed before, well what I thought was praying, but since this has happened to dad, I pray every day and I pray to the God you speak of. What a sweet young lady I have. Brought a tear to my eye. My poor babies, oh what they must be going through, their little hearts have to be hurting. I pray for strength for those 3 beauties, and guidance every day.
